
Botanical Garden, Hokkaido University
Opened as the second modern botanical garden in the country in 1886. There are about 4000 kinds of plants in the garden. The new green season is particularly beautiful, with the abundance of halnirem, alder and alpine plants. There is also a museum in the park, which was built in 1882 as the Sapporo Museum of Hokkaido, Japan, where you can also tour the hauzo wolf, which has already become extinct. Only greenhouses open in winter. Take one hour.

Hokkaido University Botanical Garden Greenhouse
A conservatory within the vast Northern Great Botanical Garden with facilities such as an arboretum, alpine botanical garden, and boreal herbarium. The house, which can be visited even in winter, is divided into a rainforest room, a fern room, and a succulent plant room, and you can see mainly plants that grow in the tropics and subtropics, and unusual plants that cannot be seen on a daily basis.

Sapporo Station
A large street extending from the south exit of Sapporo Station towards Odori Park and Susukino. The central part of the street is followed straight by a green belt with street trees such as sycamore. Hotels, department stores and office buildings are lined up on both sides, creating a lively landscape. Every year from late November to mid-March, a long run of "Sapporo White Illumination" is held to color the street trees from the station square to Susukino with electric lighting, which attracts a large number of tourists. Especially in December, it is popular as a dating course for couples.

JR Tower Observation Room T38
From the height of the city of Hokkaido, which is 38 floors above the ground and 160m high, you can see the streets of Sapporo with a 360-degree panorama. A variety of tastes are also stunning, such as the production of environmental music made from special scales, the artwork on the wall, and the view toilet (men's) with a clear view. On the south side is "T'CAFE", which is full of snacks and cake sets during the day. In addition to beer and wine, there are more than 30 cocktails at night, and you can enjoy bar time while watching the night view. Entrance reception is from the 6th floor of JR Tower East.

Sapporo City Clock Tower
It was built in Meiji 11 (1878) at the suggestion of Dr. Clark, the first professor of education, as a performance hall for the former Sapporo Nongyo School, the predecessor of Hokkaido University. In 1881, a pendulum clock made by the Boston Howard Company was installed with a clock tower attached to it. The clock, which has been ticking for more than a century, tells the city of Sapporo with the sound of a clear bell at every hour. On the first floor, an exhibition corner is set up to introduce the history of the clock tower using a photo panel. On the second floor, the showhouse is reproduced as it is in the Meiji period.
