1. Taikobashi (Taikobashi)

Taikobashi is a Shinbashi bridge over the Shinbashi Pond, which is shaped in the shape of a "heart". It is said that the body and mind can be cleansed by crossing, and the three bridges, Taikobashi, Hirabashi, and Taikobashi, represent the past, present, and future. The two taiko bridges are steep and you can feel "there is a valley with life mountain".

■ Camphor leaves

From mid-April to late May, the camphor of the precincts gives young leaves all at once, and the season is full of life power. There are about 100 camphor leaves, including two country-designated natural monuments and 51 prefecture-designated. The precinct, covered with camphor and seasonal flowers, feels refreshing just to walk.

■ Irises (Hanashoubu)

In early to mid-June, about 55 species of 30,000 irises will bloom in the iris pond of Higashinen. You can also enjoy about 5000 hydrangeas in the same period near the iris pond, Taikobashi, and Hokushinen!

■ Mikanki Fei Ume

You can enjoy colorful flowers in the precincts, including plums that Michizane loved all the time. We also recommend flower tours with the season.

It is a plum tree on the right toward the main shrine, and it is said that he flew overnight from the capital of Kyo in honor of Dazaifu, who had been handed down by Dazaifu. The plum blooms from very early to very late, and about 200 species and 6000 flowers are produced sequentially, and can be enjoyed from late January to early March. It begins to bloom in mid-January when the sacred tree "Ōimei" is the earliest to bloom.

By the way, in the precincts, the plum mark that Michizane loved her very well has become a symbol, and the goshinto is also used as a plum wine in Dazaifu Tenma Shrine.
