Stroll Through Yunotsu While Sensing the Echoes of History

Yunotsu Onsen boasts two natural hot spring sources, offering a relaxing and authentic experience. The town’s distinctive red Sekishū roof tiles and black-glazed tiles create a nostalgic and charming atmosphere.
Yunotsu once thrived as the outer port of Iwami Ginzan, serving as a vital hub for trade and transportation. Even today, the town is lined with long-established hot spring inns, preserving its historical charm.
If you're unsure where to begin your exploration, head first to “Yū-Yūkan,” a facility with a distinctive Japanese-style exterior located at the entrance to the hot spring town.
After getting information at the tourist information center, set off to explore the charming streets of Yunotsu Onsen!
Enjoy the nostalgic charm of the historic townscape.

Every Saturday night, a regular Iwami Kagura performance is held at Tatsuno Gozen Shrine.
