If you visit Iwate Prefecture, you will definitely want to eat the specialty "Morioka Noodles". Morioka Reimen and Morioka Jaja-men. We will introduce you to each famous restaurant and how to eat! Let's enjoy a unique noodle dish to your heart's content.
What is Morioka cold noodles? A noodle dish that was born after trial and error by the first owner of the "Shokudoen", trying to recreate in Japan the Hamheung cold noodles that are transmitted to the Korean Peninsula. It is characterized by noodles with plenty of flavor, and the soup uses beef bones and has plenty of umami. You can regulate the spiciness with kimchi.
A shop that sticks to handmade cold noodles since its inception in 1965. The noodles, which are kneaded after receiving the order, are strong and go well with the full-bodied soup made with carefully selected wagyu beef, homemade kimchi dedicated to cold noodles. There are four types of cold noodles: small spicy (Sho-kara), medium spicy (Chu-kara), large spicy (O-kara), and polar spicy (Goku-kara). It is recommended to choose another spicy (Betsu-kara) that can be adjusted for the first time!
The shop is spacious with 120 seats from tables and small rises to the parlour.

Pyongyang Reimen devised by the first shop owner are the roots of Morioka Reimen. While cold noodles in the northern part of the Korean Peninsula use buckwheat flour, Shokudoen uses potato starch and other items for flour. I added some ingenuity to the taste of the home, and made it into Japanese noodles.
The shop is spacious. It is a popular store that many people visit on holidays.

What is Morioka Jaja-men? It began when the owner of "Pairon" offered a noodle dish at a stall that referred to the Chinese stir-fried miso udon. It is eaten mixed with meat miso and adjusted to your favorite taste with chili oil or vinegar. In the shime, you can leave a little noodles and ingredients, and then add the beaten egg and boiled juice to make it into an egg soup called "Chitantan" to taste.
A long-established restaurant of original jaja-men. You can eat the special meat-miso, which is fried with garlic, minced meat, etc., and savory, tangled in boiled flat-lined noodles. The noodles, which resemble udon noodles, are topped with meat miso, cucumber, and green onions, so add seasoning to your taste.
After eating, you can melt the eggs and eat them as "chitantan". You can enjoy chitantan for 50 yen.
An old-fashioned, unchanging head office.
