Yuda Onsen Area (member of the Yuda Onsen Ryokan Cooperative Association)
Yamaguchi Prefecture is blessed with some of the most abundant hot spring resources in Japan. With many historic onsen areas that have long been loved, it attracts visitors from both inside and outside the prefecture.
Among them, Yamaguchi City, located in the center of Yamaguchi Prefecture, is home to many hot springs, including Yuda Onsen, which boasts the greatest volume of hot spring water along the Sanyo Route.
Yuda Onsen (Day Trip・Overnight Stay)
Yuda Onsen is known for a legend in which a white fox healed its wounds by soaking its feet in a pond from which hot springs later emerged. Located in the heart of Yamaguchi Prefecture and Yamaguchi City, it offers convenient access and is used for various purposes, including tourism and business.
The spring quality is an alkaline simple hot spring, which is tasteless and odorless. Its soft water is gentle on the skin, earning it the nickname “Hot Spring for Beautiful Skin.”

Ganjyoju Hot Springs (Day Trip)
This day-use hot spring is located at a roadside station and is surrounded by nature. The spring quality is a mildly radioactive sodium bicarbonate hot spring, and the facility also features a sauna and open-air baths. At the entrance to the baths, visitors are greeted by chainsaw-carved statues of Shizuka Gozen and Benkei, figures from local legends.
The rose bath, held once a month for two days in the women’s open-air bath, is also popular.

Yunoki Jisho Onsen (Day Trip・Overnight Stay)
This hot spring contains a rich variety of ions, with lithium ion concentrations about three times higher than the standard defined by the Hot Springs Act, and free carbon dioxide about eight times higher. Lithium has analgesic (pain-relieving) effects, while carbon dioxide promotes heat retention and helps lower blood pressure. As a drinking spring, it is also known to be effective for digestive disorders, liver disease, diabetes, gout, and more. It is a therapeutic hot spring ideal for healing.

Shimaji Onsen (Day Trip・Overnight Stay)
Located in the lush greenery of Tokuchi, Yamaguchi City, this hot spring facility was renovated in June 2011 with a focus on healing and health. Though modest in size, it features natural flowing spring water directly from the source, and serves as a revitalizing presence in the local community.
While soaking in the overflowing hot spring water, you can enjoy the view of the Shimaji River and the changing seasonal scenery.
With a dining area, local specialty shop, and morning market, it also serves as a relaxing gathering place for the local community.

Miyano Onsen (Day Trip)
This day-use hot spring allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of nature in every season. The water has a uniquely smooth and slippery texture that is often described as “silky.”
With an affordable admission fee of just 100 yen, the facility attracts many visitors from both inside and outside the prefecture.
The facility also includes a karaoke room, multipurpose room, and pottery studio, serving as a space for creative activities and relaxation.

Nagasawa Onsen (Day Trip・Overnight Stay)
Located on the shores of Lake Nagasawa, this radon-rich cold mineral spring is a simple weakly radioactive onsen that is tasteless, colorless, and odorless. The large public bath offers a panoramic view of Lake Nagasawa.
The facility includes the drive-in “Nagasawa Garden,” where you can enjoy meals and light snacks. Nearby, you'll find the Suzenji Local History Museum, which features exhibits on Masujirō Ōmura, a historical figure from the area. There is also a golf driving range. Many visitors stop by for a break during a drive or sightseeing, or to relax in the bath after a round of golf.

Aio Onsen (Day Trip・Overnight Stay)
This natural open-air hot spring bath overlooks the calm inland sea. The spring water is a simple, mildly radioactive cold mineral spring that is tasteless, colorless, and odorless. The facility also features a panoramic large bath and a dry sauna with a window. The scenic view of Yamaguchi Bay from the window offers soothing relaxation for both body and mind.
At the restaurant on the first floor, you can enjoy dishes made with kuruma shrimp, a specialty of the Aio area, throughout the year. This hot spring offers not only delicious seafood but also scenic views unique to Aio.
